Over 11,000 members of the King’s community are international students. Some 150 countries are represented in the student cohort. This incredible diversity is what we at KCLSU celebrate during the One World Festival this week! Come along to one of our events to experience the different cultures at King’s through art, food and more!
On Tuesday (January 24th) come down to the Vault to join the Language Café. This is an amazing opportunity to meet fellow students from around the world and practice your language skills. From 5 pm to 7 pm, you will be able to join native speakers of French, English, Spanish, Mandarin and others.
Thursday (January 26th) brings the One World Food Fair, where you will have a chance to taste various food specialities from around the world. Come to The Studio in Bush House between 1:30 pm and 3 pm to experience the diverse cultures that form our community through food. Don’t forget to book your free ticket here!
The festival rounds off with the One World Carnival on Friday (January 27th). Come down to The Vault between 1 pm and 4 pm to see our diverse student groups express their cultures through street-style performances. Students will showcase a range of art performances through dance, music and more.
One World Festival is all about celebrating our diverse cultures and identities. It is a chance to truly experience the variety of backgrounds that our students come from and how this diversity comes together to form the King’s community. We hope you will join us in the celebration!
