Block Room Bookings
Until further notice, individual/ad-hoc booking for KCLSU Activity Rooms will not be available. We will be trialling some block bookings which have been allocated pending approved risk assessments and will begin from the 28th September. We will monitor the safe running of these initial block bookings and following a review, we will hope to open KCLSU Activity Rooms more widely for individual/ad-hoc bookings for student groups.
For those who have block booked space in term 1:
All members must read our student group guidance and briefing.
Any group with allocated space must submit a risk assessment to email@example.com and await confirmation from KCLSU that you can attend your bookings.

Block Bookings for Term 1 2020/2021
This timetable outlines the key dates for block bookings for Term 1 of the academic year 2020. These bookings will be valid for September 21st- December 20th 2020.
Date: Wednesday 26th August
Action: Block booking email for Term 1 to be sent out to all groups
Date: Sunday 6th September
Action: Deadline for block booking form to be received
Date: Friday 11th September
Action: Rooms to be allocated and tentatively uploaded onto the system
Date: Wednesday 16th September
Action: Deadline to send any questions or queries
Date: Friday 18th September
Action: Rooms to be confirmed on the system
Room Booking Priority
At KCLSU, we prioritise room bookings in the following order:
- KCLSU annual events, for example, Freshers' events, One World events
- Block bookings
- Student groups behaviour around bookings and room treatment in the previous academic term
- Student group one-off bookings
- KCLSU staff bookings
- KCL staff bookings
- External bookings
