Your Representative

Hi! I'm Fatima, your Vice President Welfare and Community. I'm a postgraduate law student, having just completed the MSc Law and Professional Practice programme. Books, cats and coffee are the biggest loves of my life, followed closely by travel. In my opinion, there is no better way to get to know a city than through its bookstores and cafes.

This year, I'm focusing on making sure everyone belongs at King's, whether that be through creating more study and informal learning spaces, postgraduate inclusion in affordable housing schemes or combating harassment on campus. I'm here to listen, advocate, and help create a more supportive and inclusive environment for all students.

My Goals

Increasing Study Spaces on Campus

Creation of new or repurposed study spaces and seasonal study areas at peak times.

Increasing Safety for Women on Campus

Increased safety for women on campus with improved bystander intervention training and reviewing the Report + Support system.

Fix Report & Support - February 2026 Update

As part of my goal to increase safety for women on campus, I've been working on the Fix Report & Support campaign alongside VP Activities & Development, Dulcie Wainwright-Pilton. This campaign aims to improve King’s reporting and support systems so that they better meet the needs of students affected by gender-based violence. I’m pleased to share that we’ve already secured a number of key wins, and you can read more about them on our campaign page: Fix Report + Support

Ensuring Freedom of Speech

Housing Support
