Empowering Voices - Insights from "Beyond Boundaries 2024"

On International Women’s Day 2024, the KCL Women in Leadership and Womxn in STEM societies came together to host the Beyond Boundaries: Women’s Voices, Diverse Choices event.

This included a panel discussion on Amplifying Women's Voices, and it was a dynamic exploration of the challenges and triumphs in empowering women to be heard. The panellists, each with a distinct perspective, shared personal connections to the cause and delved into systemic barriers women face.

Key highlights included discussions on intersectionality, media impact, and workplace dynamics. The dialogue emphasised concrete steps for individuals and organisations to actively contribute to positive change. The event showcased a shared commitment to diversity and inclusivity, serving as a catalyst for future initiatives aimed at fostering a more equitable society. We are very grateful for Anmol Dhillon, Lydia Mapstone, Isha Shakir, Nicola Martin, and Karen Emelu for attending and sharing their perspectives with us.
