Fog and Friction Society

Sorry, there are no memberships available to purchase.

The Fog and Friction Society at King’s College London is a non-partisan society devoted to examining strategic studies and international affairs through connections built between postgraduate students. It is dedicated to building a healthy community and social well-being within the online student body at the Defence Studies Department while hosting discussions and analyses on defence, security, and foreign policy issues.

The central feature of our activities is a regular discussion group conducted under the Chatham House Rule and utilising the LARA Method by students, practitioners, and scholars from the academic, diplomatic, military, political, intelligence, business, and media fields. Some discussions are Confidential and off the record.

Regular mixers and participation in international and domestic strategy competitions and other educational activities are supported.

Membership is by invitation. Interested postgraduate students are encouraged to apply.
