I worked alongside the international student’s officer from 2016-17, Haider Abbas and to start a campaign on having more toilets with douches in King’s.
Considering the sizeable demographics of students who originate from Asian countries and the Middle East, this will now become a part of the estates' policy. Meaning King’s would have toilets with douches in any future King’s estates development.
Not only has this policy been formulated for any future King’s estates, but toilets with douches have already been installed in the Waterloo campus and approval has been received to install them in the Bush house as well.
This achievement is significant in terms of having no negative impact on the student body whilst providing excellent facilities and improving the image of King's. This shows that King's is an institution that seeks accommodate the needs of the various ethnicities who come to study here.
