Staying active can improve our physical and mental health. Movement looks different for everyone - the main thing is finding what you enjoy!
Staying active and doing physical activity has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety whilst improving your mental and physical health. t’s very important that we keep doing some form of physical activity, no matter how big or small it is. Here are a few ideas to get moving from wherever you are!

Workout with King's Sport

King’s Sport has a number of ways for you to keep moving. We have 3 campus gyms,  King’s Move - an app that rewards you for moving, exercise therapy through our Active Wellness scheme, and special events for King's Hall residents at Resi Sport & Wellness . Or why not put in an Energise Request to energise your team meeting, class or event. A trained King's Sports & Wellness coach will provide free mindfulness, seated stretch, or a pulse raiser! BeActive

BeActive  is the social and recreational activity programme available to all students and staff at King’s College London. There is a variety of activities every week to ensure that there is something out there for you, from swimming to yoga. What's more, there is no commitment is needed, so it’s up to you if you want to try a different activity each week or become a regular to your favourite session. All activities are non-competitive and inclusive, so everyone can participate regardless of experience or ability.

If you are staying in a King's Hall of Residence, then BeActive is completely free!

Join a KCLSU Sports Club

You can also join any sports club with KCLSU to meet new friends and stay active. There are over 70 sports clubs, ranging from watersports to snowsports, team sports and individual sports! Lots of societies also offer a recreational membership, if you're looking for something low commitment.

FitOn App (available for iOS and Android)

This app is free for students to download and it offers a wide range of activities taught by professional trainers, and the majority do not require any equipment, which makes it very convenient.  Some of the classes include yoga, Pilates, HIIT and cardio.
