Welcome to Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Women's Football Club!
Whether you’ve spent the last 10 years playing football for your county or you’ve never kicked a ball in your life, our club is for you!
We welcome students from ALL COURSES and all campuses, and with our three COMPETITIVE TEAMS and our fourth RECREATIONAL TEAM, we truly cater to all abilities. The competitive teams have training once a week with a qualified coaches helping the team captains and they play league matches twice weekly. The recreational 4s team play once a week with the occasional freindly match and the session is lead by GKTWFC student activators.
ABOUT OUR TEAMS :
1st Team: The 1s consists of more experienced players, consistently performing well in leagues and other tournaments. Previous titles they have achieved include United Hospitals Cup , LUSL Premier Division, and Varsity champions 4/5years! The captains, Iona and Alicia, are welcoming new players and if they can replicate their fantasy football success then the 1s are going to be on fire this season. (Buy the Competitive Team Membership £45 after trials/tasters!)
2nd Team: The 2s have been riding a WINNING wave over the last couple of years and the captains, Hafiza and Ruweyda, will make you feel like a winner for joining their team. The joy and laughter from the 2s in training might trick you into thinking they're more fun than ferocious but they showed the power of wholesome team-bonding last year by smashing the season as BUCS champions, having been promoted in the LUSL league the year before. (Buy the Competitive Team Membership £45 after trials/tasters!)
3rd Team: The 3's determination has seen them make fantastic strides over the last few years, moving up the league table and beating other universtiy 1st and 2nd teams. The team has a range of players with many beginners but the committment and passion which drives their football is based on the friendships formed in the 3s. Regardless of whether you've played much football before, if you're ready to get stuck in then the captains, Nitchy and Dhana, want you to join their team. (Buy the Competitive Team Membership £45 after trials/tasters!)
4th Recs Team: Our social team is perfect for those wanting to play football more casually, whether you want to try something new or if you just love kicking a ball around with some friends. You can join the 4s Recs at any point in the season no trials needed. It may be the low committment option of GKTWFC but the 4s Recreational Activators, Laura (aka "Kempe") and Olivia lead such a fun session you're sure to be coming back every week and with their experienced football knowlegde they'll also be helping the 4s work towards their first friendly match this season. (Recreational Membership £35 = Buy the GKTWFC Social Membership £15 AND the discounted GKTWFC BeActive Membership £20)
The GKTWFC Recs session is in partnership with King's Sport BeActive and our recreational members will have access to the entire BeActive Timetable which offers a range of different sports and operates on a sign-up turn-up basis. (Already have/bought access to the BeActive Timetable? Buy the GKTWFC Social Membership £15)
