The Heart of Comedy at KCL
We hold regular workshops, standup shows, and outings to comedy venues across London. Open to all whether you wish to perform or only watch, no experience required!
Our weekly workshops take place in Activity Room E in Bush House South East Wing on Mondays at 7pm, and are a relaxed environment where we workshop comedy writing ideas, performance, and work towards putting on stand-up shows for our members to perform in. These are ideal for anyone wishing to write/perform comedy, but there is also plenty to get involved with even if performing isn't for you, so our workshops are always a great way to socialise and meet new people.
We also run regular trips to comedy clubs and stand-up shows around London, most of which are free, and are always open to all. Past trips have included Top Secret Comedy Club, Angel Comedy Club, a live taping of ITV's The Stand Up Sketch Show and more.
One of the most important things that we do at KCL Comedy Club is putting on our own stand-up and comedy shows. We aim to give anyone interested in performing comedy a fantastic and supportive platform to do so, no matter your level of experience. We put shows on in various venues around King's campuses, where we showcase everything our society has been working on in our workshops and other activities.
KCL Comedy Club goes to the Fringe! Our year will culminate with a show at the world's biggest and best comedy festival, where members will be able to perform in a week's run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe in August. We ran a hugely succesful show in 2024 and had an amazing time enjoying all of the comedy that Edinburgh has to offer during the Fringe, and we can't wait to do it again in 2025!

*Week 4 Workshop (w/c 7th Oct) has been rescheduled to Wednesday 9th 8-9pm in Activity Room E. There will be no workshop on Monday 7th, but they will resume as normal on Mondays from the following week!

Please note that a membership is not required to participate in our regular events including workshops and comedy club trips, but students are required to purchase a membership in order to be able to perform in our shows.
