We are the KCL branch of Students for Global Health UK, a student network and registered charity tackling global and local health inequalities through education, advocacy and community action. We have a vision of 'a fair and just world in which equity in health is a reality for all' and believe that as students our voice is essential to bringing about an equitable and healthy world of tomorrow.
With our events this year (2018/19) organised into three themes - Conflict and Health, Global Mental Health, and Evidence and Research in Global Health - there's something for everybody! Want to dive into the latest debates about humanitarianism and supporting LMICs in times of disaster? Ever wondered how people access mental healthcare in countries like Iraq or Nigeria? How do you perform surgeries when your hospital doesn't have reliable power or light? These are just some of the questions we're fascinated by.
