We are an enthusiastic group of both engineering and non-engineering students united by a shared passion for motorsports, automotive engineering, and a desire to compete. How to get involved: KCL Racing consists of two parts: our Competitive Team and our Social Side. Whether you are a seasoned motorsport enthusiast or just starting your journey, there is a place for you at KCL Racing. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THE COMPETITIVE MEMBERSHIP UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD TO DO SO BY THE SOCIETY’S LEADERSHIP. Competitive Team: Get involved in building the first KCL Racing car and represent King’s in a Global University Engineering and Racing Competition! This is your chance to get hands-on experience in designing, fabricating, and testing a (competitive) race car. This year, we aim to enter and compete in the Formula Student Concept Class, and are fueled with ambition to get our first car on track by 2024/25. Our competitive team offers students a platform to gain invaluable knowledge and explore automotive engineering at its finest. Non-Competitive, Social Side: For those with a passion for motorsports (or simply curious), but wish for a more laid-back involvement, our Social Side offers the perfect balance! Through attending joint sessions with the competitive team, you will learn about the technical aspects of car design, automotive engineering & manufacturing, aerodynamics, and the intricacies of motorsport. The tutorials will be taught by King’s own professors, and leading professionals in motorsport and automotive engineering. We will also host motorsport-themed socials (watching the Singapore GP) and fundraising parties/events. So come meet the other motorsport-loving King’s students, and even if you know nothing about motorsport, we promise a good time! Our mission Our mission is to push the boundaries of what a student-run Formula racing team can achieve in little time. This coming year, we are excited to compete in Formula Student’s concept class. This step will accelerate reaching our ultimate goal - having our own car on track. But we can't do it alone. We invite you to join our mission, whether you're a prospective engineering student or a non-engineering student, we welcome anyone excited about motorsport and building a car.
