Kadence is a mixed a cappella group which is based at King's College London. Formed in mid-2020, the group aims to promote a cappella music at KCL and bring together singers from all backgrounds.
The group aims to be inclusive to all potential members, it is an all-gender, mixed a cappella group welcoming singers of all voice types. There is no other group like this at KCL. While the group performs regularly, it is particularly driven by its social media presence on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. Kadence records covers of a range of popular artists in a stylish, original way. In comparison to other a cappella groups across the country, this society is one of the most active online. In doing so, the group has already garnered significant attention from Grammy-award winners and other highly-successful recording artists over the last few years.
With this foundation, the society strives to provide the opportunity for its members to compete in nationally and internationally recognised a cappella competitions, perform in esteemed venues and most importantly, foster a strong community by learning and appreciating a cappella music.
