We are just a bunch of students who live with a disability – be that a chronic illness, mental health condition, physical disability, learning disability, anything!

A disability is defined as ‘a condition which, without adjustments and supportive environments, can result in limitations or disadvantages in some way’. It doesn’t matter if that condition affects every single aspect of your life, or it if barely affects it at all, everyone is welcome.
Having any kind of disability or illness is difficult and can be very isolating. Our aim is to create a safe space where fellow members of the community can come together and feel heard and supported. Everyone needs friends who understand each other and do not judge, but there aren’t any societies for students with all types of disabilities that provides that, but that is what we are trying to create.
We aim to be inclusive of everyone and make every event and meeting accessible to all. If you have any questions or suggestions on how to be more accommodating, or if you have specific access requirements, please feel free to let us know. We will always try to be as accessible as possible though, and will provide access statements for our events so you know whether you need to ask for anything.
