Overview

KCLSU Liberation Networks are student-led collectives that advocate for change, foster safe spaces and work towards creating more inclusive and equitable experiences for students from underrepresented communities at King’s.

KCLSU is hosting the first intersectional Liberation Networks event to welcome students who self-define with marginalised and/or minoritised groups at King’s and elect the Network Chairs for 2024-25.

There will be lunch, some fun activities and the opportunity to meet like-minded students from your communities. Live voting for the Network Chair positions (open to Network Committees) will take place online, so anyone who is not on campus can vote and run for the role by joining the Teams meeting here.

If you are interested in running for the Network Chair position for any of the below Liberation Networks please sign-up for your free ticket and fill in this short form:

  • Black Students Network
  • Disabled Students Network
  • First Generation Network
  • Interfaith Network
  • International Students Network
  • LGBTQ+ Network
  • People of Colour Network
  • Women’s Network

If you are interested in a free membership to any of the Liberation Networks secure your space by booking your free ticket to the event and join in-person (12pm) or online (1pm).

Please note this event is open to any student who self-defines with any of the above communities. To put yourself forward to lead the Network, you must be a member of one of the Network societies.

KCLSU ratified groups can nominate their liberation leads by emailing [email protected]. The deadline for nominations is strictly 9am Monday 10th June.

During the meeting, committees from each student group in the Network will decide who should lead the Network for the year. If there are two or more Chair candidates, only committee members of affiliated societies will have the opportunity to vote.

For any access requirements or if you want to chat with us ahead of the event, please email [email protected]

Ticketholders will receive more information closer to the event.
