Welcome Freshers,

GKT Men’s Rugby Club (Guy’s, King's & St Thomas’ Men’s Rugby Football Club) the Oldest Rugby Club in the World (Est.1843) has been proudly and strongly represented by students from KCL since its formation, with the club evolving to be represented by students studying ALL types of degrees at King’s. We cater for players of all abilities, from beginners to academy players; whichever level you are there’s a team for you.

Our teams play in the BUCS South Eastern leagues and also participate in other domestic cup competitions: the BUCS Cup and the UH Cup (The oldest rugby cup competition in the world). We also have a Saturday side playing in the Kent Men’s League so all players are guaranteed match experience throughout the season. 

Freshers are welcome to come down to HOP sports ground, join in a training session with current members of the club and then continue on to Guy’s Bar for a massive social with all of the other GKT societies. The session is meant to be fun and suitable for all abilities so don’t worry if you are new to rugby. Bring boots and appropriate sports clothes. There will be no contact rugby at this session so no need to bring gum shields. It’s sure to be a great session and night out!
