Hoarding Group Volunteer

The Hoarding Group volunteer role exists to support the smooth running of Mind’s hoarding peer support group sessions, which currently run twice a month. The volunteer’s role is to support the Hoarding Group by processing referrals, responding to queries, and supporting administrative and clinical work where appropriate. There is an option for volunteers to join service users in the decluttering process by acting as an empathetic coach in the home environment.

Location

Referrals processing, responding to queries, and supporting administrative will be carried out at Hammersmith & Fulham Mind's office in Fulham (309 Lillie Road, SW6 7LL). Remote working may also be considered. If the volunteer is supporting clinical work, this will be carried out at nearby location (approximately a 5 minute walk from 309 Lillie Road).

Prior training required

Hammersmith & Fulham Mind have a comprehensive volunteer induction programme. The volunteer will be supported closely during the induction period, and thereafter, by The Hoarding Group Lead and the Adult Community Services Project Manager.
