St Joseph’s fundraising team are looking for a community fundraising volunteer to be based in the office and support the fundraising team. This role might suit someone who is looking to get hands on experience in fundraising or an office environment or maybe someone who could bring their office experience and skills to support the team. The role will involve tasks such as building lists of local business and schools, phoning new places to place a collection tin finding places to display posters up in the local community. You would have the opportunity to engage your community in supporting their local charity. Based on your personal interests and skills, your responsibilities could include any of the following responsibilities: Key tasks: • Build lists of local business and schools • Phoning round to place new tins • Collecting tins from the community • Putting up flyers and posters to promote events • Team leader for Bucketing collection • Attending events • Help with mailings Time requirement: Ideal commitment: 2 days a week for 6 months between 10am – 4pm Minimum commitment: 1 day a week for at least 3 months between 10am – 4pm. Skills and qualities required: • Organised • Enthusiasm • Great people skills, approachable and friendly • Using local networks Training offered: You’ll meet with the community fundraising coordinator and receive training relevant to the activities you would most like to participate in. You’ll also be kept updated with other volunteering opportunities through the monthly volunteer bulletin. We will also offer references.
