Donate clothes to support the homeless. "Put a sock in it!” No one can fail to notice the upsurge of homeless people on our streets at the moment. If you are feeling helpless and wondering what to do, the Chaplaincy has one suggestion. The Manna Centre at London Bridge has need of donations of clothing for its guests. 90% of the guests are male, and they have a real need for socks (which go really quickly!) as well as hats, scarves and gloves during the winter months. Finally, jeans and trainers are like gold dust. Donations can be new or clean second hand. From Monday 5th Dec onwards, there will be collection "bins" located in each of the Chaplaincy areas for donations to be made. So go on, put a sock in it! For more information on the Manna Centre please see the following website: http://www.mannasociety.org.uk/.
