Overview

For LGBT+ History Month, KCL St John Ambulance Society shines a spotlight on the experience of trans people in healthcare. Our guest speaker Adam Shepherd completed his Master of Public Health at King’s College London and is currently pursuing his medicine degree. His research focuses on trans people’s experiences in healthcare and the discursive construction of gender. He will talk specifically about the importance of understanding the duties of healthcare staff and volunteers in relation to the wellbeing and treatment of trans people in a prehospital setting and what you can do to help.
