Overview
The King's College London Music Society is proud to present Dixit Dominus, a collaboration between two of our flagship ensembles, The King's Camerata and The Nightingale Consort.
Join us for an evening that will transport you into the realm of the choral greats and string orchestra classics, with music from Byrd to Elgar alongside Handel's Dixit Dominus.
The Nightingale Consort is a group of thirteen talented singers from across the university and is directed by James Upton. The ensemble was founded this year, making their concert debut presenting their eclectic programme of Partsongs and Polyphony.
The King’s Camerata is King’s premier string ensemble, directed by Riyike (Sheena) Jibowu. Serving as a space for string players to immerse themselves in a world of specially composed music for strings, we have held concerts at St Giles’ Cripplegate and the College Chapel, with a recent collaboration with King's Opera for a staging of Dido and Aeneas.
