Experience, Dedication, and Vision for the ACMS

  • If elected I will strive to do these 4 things:
  • Strengthen Outreach:
    • Maintain and expand our outreach events to engage with local communities and schools to promote health education and awareness.
    • Organise a charity fundraising event to support a health-related cause in the region.
  • Run Educational Initiatives:
    • Add more educational initiatives like OSCE prep sessions and MCQ quiz nights to support members in their medical education and professional development.
    • Promote and support attendance to educational workshops, seminars and conferences to keep members updated on the latest medical research and advances in the field.
  • Continue Reverse Mentoring:
    • Continue the Reverse Mentoring scheme which promotes learning and collaboration among members of staff and students.
    • Provide opportunities for  networking to enhance the professional growth of members.
  • Advocate and Represent:
    • Advocate for the needs and rights of African and Caribbean medical students within our university.
    • Represent the ACMS and its members at  medical conferences and events to raise the profile of the organisation and its members.
