- If elected I will strive to do these 4 things:
- Strengthen Outreach:
- Maintain and expand our outreach events to engage with local communities and schools to promote health education and awareness.
- Organise a charity fundraising event to support a health-related cause in the region.
- Run Educational Initiatives:
- Add more educational initiatives like OSCE prep sessions and MCQ quiz nights to support members in their medical education and professional development.
- Promote and support attendance to educational workshops, seminars and conferences to keep members updated on the latest medical research and advances in the field.
- Continue Reverse Mentoring:
- Continue the Reverse Mentoring scheme which promotes learning and collaboration among members of staff and students.
- Provide opportunities for networking to enhance the professional growth of members.
- Advocate and Represent:
- Advocate for the needs and rights of African and Caribbean medical students within our university.
- Represent the ACMS and its members at medical conferences and events to raise the profile of the organisation and its members.
