In collaboration with the KCLSU LGBT+ Network, we will be hosting events educating the community as well as celebrating and sharing trans stories and experiences.

What is Trans Awareness Week?

Trans Awareness Week is a week when transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention to the community by:

  • educating the public about who transgender people are
  • sharing stories and experiences
  • advancing advocacy around the issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community.

We will honour and celebrate the trans community at King's and beyond in collaboration with the KCLSU LGBT+ Network. Get involved by attending one of our events, sharing trans stories and signing the pledge. We will be creating awareness of the barriers faced by this community, with a focus on the inadequate healthcare provision. Scroll down for more info!
