EcoSoc was conceived in January 2014 by a group of students committed to environmental awareness and campaigning on green issues.
EcoSoc provides a platform for UG and PG students to regularly discuss issues related to the environment in an objective, considered and engaging manner. EcoSoc is a student-run society at King's College London. We aim to engage students with the practical applications of sustainability. ECOSOC wants to expose students to sustainable businesses and entrepreneurs in the UK. Through our workshops and events, we want to excite students to be part of the environmentally conscious community. Finally, we want to give back by committing to fundraise for NGOs that protect our Earth.
FetchUrVeg is a King’s food cooperative, which will provide students with fresh and seasonal veg delivered directly from farmers to King’s campus.
Fetchurveg is a King’s cooperative, which provides weekly vegbag deliveries straight to The Maughan Library. For £7 per bag per week, you receive a variety of seasonal veggies, enough for 1-2 people. Veggies are freshly harvested each week and delivered directly from the farm to you. This year we are working with Kentish Town VegBag to source all our veggies from within England.
It is now time for our last sign-ups, which close on the 27th of November. We will only be doing one week of deliveries for December, so you only need to add one bag to your basket! Thank you for all the support this semester, we hope you've been enjoying the veg ^^
Our goal is to encourage a healthy and sustainable lifestyle in a way that is affordable and convenient for you, and which is beneficial for our local farmers and our planet.
