Details

The successful candidate will:

  • Administer the effective planning, organisation and communication of sports fixtures to home and opposition teams in British Universities and Colleges Sport and London University Sports Leagues competitions.
  • Ensure all Sports Clubs are appropriately affiliated with their respective National Governing Body in line with BUCS guidelines.
  • Administer facility bookings for training and home fixtures, in line with approved budget.
  • Liaise with sports club captains regarding their club's BUCS fixtures, including fixture changes.
  • Ensure all sporting results and any resulting appeals are recorded in line with BUCS deadlines.
  • Administrate cost effective ways for clubs travelling to competitions.
  • Ensure travellig costs for sports clubs are in line with approved budget.
  • Manage the fixtures inbox and planner and ensure students are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Support the development of a professional, friendly and approachable service through communications and data management.
  • Continue to foster and develop good working relationship with fixtures administrators at other SU's and HEs, BUCS and other National Governing Bodies.
  • Continue to foster and develop good working relationship with King's Sport and Wellness operations and facilities teams.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments within BUCS and National Governing Bodies.
  • Provide administrative support across all sport events.
  • Operate in accordance with health and safety practices and regulations, ensuring consistent practice and reporting of risk assessments across community activity. 
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • Undertake any other task appropriate for the grade and responsibilities of the post that may from time to time be reasonably requested.

The successful candidate should also ensure that our students thrive and enjoy the best possible university experience by administrating and supporting King's College London Students' Union (KCLSU) Sports Clubs Fixtures. Areas of work will include:

  • Administer the effective planning, organisation and communication of sports fixtures to home and opposition teams in British Universities and Colleges Sport and London  University Sports Leagues competitions.
  • Administer transport requried for away fixtures and competitions.
  • Manage the fixtures inbox and planner.
  • Liaise with King's Sport and Wellness, external universities, facility providers, Higher Education (HE) sports organisations and competition managers.
