Overview

Join King’s Doctoral Students’ Association to hike the stunning coastline between Highgate and Margate this May. The route, led by an experienced hiker, will cover a moderate 14.8km and last around three hours, and will be followed with some well-earned rest time at a pub in Margate with other postgrad students, before returning to London by evening.

Travel Times: (please note, you must travel with the group).

Outbound: London St. Pancras – Ramsgate at 8:40am (Arriving at 9:57am)

Return: Margate – London St. Pancras at 5:49pm (Returning to London at 19:18pm)

Meet the hiking group inside St. Pancras station in front of the Marks & Spencer store at 8:15am (a great place to get some snacks for the journey). The students leading the hike will be wearing their King’s Lanyards to be more easily identified.

Attendees should wear suitable footwear and outerwear and be prepared for rain or shine! Please bring a packed lunch.

By buying a £5 ticket, you will reserve your spot and be sent your free train tickets by KCLSU to join the hike (travel for this trip would usually cost £36.40!)

This event is designed for PG-R students to meet new people. Please only purchase a ticket for this event if you are a PG-R student.
