Overview

Support our campaign to Dismantle King's Colonial Legacy!

This event is open to all students and staff with an interest in decolonisation at King’s. The evening will be focused on exploring King’s colonial history, the impact of colonialism and racism on our present-day experience, and how activism can effectively drive institutions to decolonise, including:

  • Performances and talks from academics, successful campaigners from other institutions and student campaign groups working for decolonisation at King’s.
  • Table discussions to shape the goals and strategy of our campaign to Dismantle King’s Colonial Legacy. We want to hear your ideas on what needs to change at King’s and how we as students and staff can take collective action to build a more inclusive, actively anti-racist institution.
  • Signup sheets and information about how to get more involved in the campaign.
  • After the event, we will be sharing useful resources with attendees that you can use to become a force for change at King’s.
  • If you are a student of colour and a performer, we would love you to perform at our event. Sign up here to share your talents and support our campaign.
