We have a variety of bookable activity rooms for our student clubs and societies to use across our campuses.
Booking a room
Student Groups can book a KCLSU or a King's room for activities, events, training, social and much more.
Student Groups can also hire our venues. Make sure you read through the Terms and Conditions below before making your booking to make sure that you understand how booking a room works. To assist you with your events, we've created some supporting documents. Take a moment to read through the content so you understand the roles and responsibilities necessary for running an event.
Visiting Speakers
Thinking of a hosting a Visiting Speaker?
Don’t forget to complete these key steps!
First things first- read the procedure!
The KCLSU Visiting Speaker Procedure contains everything you need to know about hosting a Visisting Speaker event. It explains:
- What a Visiting Speaker is
- The policy requirements all requests must meet
- The mitigations that may need to be put in place for your event to go ahead.
Before submitting your request, your first step should always be to familiarise yourself with the procedure.
Read the KCLSU Visiting Speaker Procedure here!
Once your'e confident that your request meets the policy requirements, there are three key actions you need to take for your event to recieve approval:
1) Book A Room
- Rooms available across both KCL and KCLSU spaces.
2) Submit Your Visiting Speaker Request Form
- All requests must comply with the 15 working day policy requirement.
- All requests must identify a trained Chair (a current Kings student who has completed their Chairs training on KEATS).
- If a request does not comply with policy requirements, a new submission will be required. The 15 working day timeframe will reset upon receipt of the new form and this may affect the suitability of your proposed event date!
3) Complete Your Additional KCLSU Event Risk Assessment.
- Student Groups that include Visiting Speaker events as part of their core and repeated activities can skip this step! They have already assessed the health and safety risks associated with hosting a Visiting speaker event, therefore no additional KCLSU assessments are required.
- For any questions concerning additional event risk assessments, please email studentgroups@kclsu.org who will be happy to assist!
