King's College London, Guy's Campus, Henriette Raphael Function Room

Overview

The KCL Italian Society and YOUMANITY are proud to present to King's their first photography award: imAge - Challenging stereotypes of older people . The winning photos will then be exhibited in the Henriette Raphael Function Room, Guy's Campus from the 16th of April.

The competition has the support of The Royal Photographic Society, and is under the patronage of the European Commission. The 2016 photography award of imAge challenges the stereotype of older people often being viewed as a burden on their families and a drain on the public purse. We encourage you to redefine how we perceive and photograph ‘the retired’, so we ask you to avoid those standard portraits of wrinkled and wise.

To enter this competition send three themed photos to [email protected] Terms and conditions can be found here: http://goo.gl/cgsVHT DEADLINE: 01/04/2016 NO FEE On the 20th the winners will be officially awarded by the president of the Royal Photographic Society and the Italian Consul and the King's Principal.
