Using the KCLSU Advice service

Our Advice service is free, confidential and available to every King's student. We want your experience with us to be as helpful and supportive as possible. That's why we have a service agreement with you and follow some policies in areas including confidentiality and conflict of interest.

Due to a busy period we are curently responding to enquiries within 3 working days. We prioritise our cases according to urgency, so if there’s reason you need to hear from us sooner than that make sure you include this information when you contact us. We review our emails every working day so we will pick up any emails which have approaching deadlines as soon as possible.

Please note that The Advice Service will be closed from Wednesday 18 April at 5 pm and will re-open on Friday 20 April at 9 am. We will be unable to respond to emails during this time and our latest response times for emails received on Monday 16 April, Tuesday 17 April and Wednesday 18 April will be Friday 20 April, Monday 23 April and Tuesday 24 April respectively although we will endeavour to deal with urgent issus more quickly.

Access information

KCLSU Advice is for every student, and we take our commitment to making our support accessible very seriously. If you have any access requirements or need us to make any adjustments so that you can receive advice please let us know when you contact us.

We offer advice by email, telephone, skype and in person. If you would like information in large print or other formats let us know.

In person, advice is usually given in one of our advice rooms across three of our campuses. If these locations are not accessible or suitable for your needs please discuss this with our team who will wherever possible, make alternative arrangements.

STRAND: we are located on floor -2 (which is the ground floor!) of Macadam Building. Details on access to this building

WATERLOO: we are located on floor 1 of the Franklin-Wilkins Building. Details on access to this building

GUY'S: we are located in the West Wing of the Boland House Building. As we have very recently moved into this building there is currently no detailed accessibility information on the Disabled Go website. There are currently some limitations to access due to building works. If you plan to visit us at Guy's and want to know more please contact us before you arrive.
