Welcome

Welcome to KCLSU!

Excited about starting your journey at King’s?
You won’t be starting it alone. You’re now part of KCLSU!

What's KCLSU?

KCLSU’s every student at King’s College London - working together to make sure we all have the best University experience possible.

We'd love to meet you at our Welcome events, on 17 Jan at Strand campus or 19 Jan at Guy's campus. And you can find us on Facebook and Twitter.

Welcome

to life at King's

What current students say they wish they'd known when they were new to King's:

  • How important getting valuable work experience is alongside studying for your degree (Nadine, 21)
  • That you can work part-time and juggle your studies (Sarah, 23)
  • That there is support to help you – if you think you’re falling behind or are having a tough time settling in, seek advice! (Nicole, 22)
  • Everyone’s in the same boat: you might think that someone seems better suited to university than you but just remember - you share a classroom and you deserve to be at university too! (Matt, 21)
  • To get involved with your Students’ Union (Abi, 23)
  • To run for a Student Officer/Sabbatical position in my Students’ Union (Uzma, 30)
  • At university you need to find out information for yourself, and not wait to be told by your tutor (Joe, 22)
  • That I’d make friends, even though I chose to live at home whilst studying for my degree (Rachel, 22)
  • To apply for bursaries and scholarships to give (me) some extra money whilst studying (Jamie, 21)
  • How to manage my time so that I meet all the deadlines (Ellie, 20)

Logging in

To get the most out of KCLSU's website, register a guest account. Once you’ve done this, you can sign up for events, join societies and buy tickets.

Your guest account is temporary for you to use until you’re fully enrolled at King’s College London. Once you’ve started your course, you should be able to use the ‘Student Login’. Here are a few things you’ll need to do:

  • Use the name you applied to King’s College London with, not a nickname or an abbreviation
  • Register with your personal email address, e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo – not your King’s email address
  • If you’ve been given a student ID (tip: it’ll start with a K) include it on the form

Once you’ve registered, you’ll be sent an activation link so check your inbox. Sometimes your spam filter will send the link to your junk mail so don’t forget to check there too!

If you’ve got any questions, send an email to website@kclsu.org and we’ll do our best to help.
