The KCL Sailing Club has put in a successful application to the Sport England Small Grants Fund!

This fund looks to support not-for-profit organisations to help more people to play sport and the KCL Sailing Club has now used the money to buy two brand new boats - this means more students will be able to take part in sailing sessions.

Ton Fang, President of the KCL Sailing Club, explains how the funding will benefit the club this year: "Sport England have provided us this year with two brand new RS Quest dinghies. This has extended King's College London Sailing Club's ability to expand its membership and increase participation within our University Sailing club through the provision of beginners courses, race training sessions and open sailing. For the future we hope to continue our fundraising efforts so that we are able to own our own fleets of race boats to enter national regattas. None of this could have been achieved, without the hard work and dedication of Phillip Holman (Chief Instructor at Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre) and Oliver Grassby (Treasurer of KCLSC)."
