National Student Survey is now open!

Calling all FINAL YEAR Undergraduate Students:  The National Student Survey is now open!

The NSS will run from 15 January to 30 April 2024 and will help the university and the union gather feedback about your experience at King’s.  Your responses are important to understand what we are doing well, and where we need to improve in the coming year.

Why is my feedback important?

917 academic reps. 2 active campaigns. 2 priority campaigns. 1 secured seat in the College Education Committee.

Your feedback in the past has enabled us to represent your academic interests to the university. In the current academic year, your representatives have been working on:

  • Law Council: The Academic Association conducted a faculty survey and found that 97.5% of the respondents want individualised feedback, and only 30% are aware of the “feedback clinics” at the faculty. Your reps are currently raising awareness about these opportunities to ensure that they are more accessible by law students.

  • King’s Doctoral Students’ Association: The team is currently running campaigns on relaxing IP regulations, fair pay and working conditions for GTAs and GRAs as well as good supervision. The Supervision Guidance Campaign has resulted in the addition of a new role for a self-funded PhD rep in the upcoming elections.

  • Timetabling Survey: Turn the Tables, a KCLSU priority campaign led by your Officers and SU staff conducted a survey to ask academic reps about timetabling issues in their departments. The analysis of the survey was presented to KCL and is now being utilised to bring timetabling changes for students.

  • Adjust KCL! Campaign: The campaign saw high engagement and advocated for the university to remunerate disability ambassadors and all student ambassadors at the university. Adjust KCL!  also contributed to an increase in the hourly rate from £11 to £13 for ambassadors.

What’s in it for me?

In addition to making your voice heard and shaping your union, you can head to one of the completion hubs on campus to complete the survey and win free KCL merch.

If you manage to complete the survey before 29 February 2024, you are also eligible to enter a prize draw to win a Graduation Package!

For us to continue to represent your academic interests, we need your feedback!
