We'll constantly update this page with important information on membership, freshers events, classes, etc. as we receive information from KCLSU, King's Sport, and our partner studios. Please read on for more info on freshers & new members, returning members, membership, an introduction to KCL Pole, and what's in store for 2022/23.
Introduction to KCL Pole
We offer:
- Weekly Pole classes at our very own Studio on Waterloo Campus and Ultimate Pole- Complete beginner to Advanced at a heavily discounted price
- Open Pole Sessions - Free sessions to try out pole moves and hang with all the great people here at KCL Pole
- Off-the-pole classes - Work on things like strength and flexibility to greatly improve your on-the-pole skills at the same time!
- A wide range of socials - from nights out at The Vault to dinner socials to costume design sessions
- Trips - Summer tour and other short trips for competitions or pole shows
- Competitions - We take part in a variety of London-wide, regional and national competitions. Did we mention that we are reigning National Champions, 2x Regional Champions, and 4x KCL vs UCL Varsity Champions? Quite a feat given that we've only been around for 6 years!
- Showcases - We have a range of showcases from small-scale club-only ones to help our members boost confidence to large-scale charity showcases, giving you plenty of opportunities to showcase your routines no matter your level.

Returning Members - Welcome back! We are doing our best to bring back the classes, open pole sessions, and socials you love from Sept/Oct and we can't wait to see you again. For those who have graduated but aren't ready to leave us just yet, please purchase the associate membership to keep enjoying what we have to offer! We miss everyone so much and can't wait to see you all again soon.
Academic Year 22/23 classes & timetable
PLEASE READ THESE LEVEL PREREQUISITES BEFORE BOOKING A CLASS. IF YOU BOOK INTO A CLASS THAT IS ABOVE YOUR SKILL LEVEL, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
Complete Beginner: Suitable for complete beginners or those who have only taken a few classes
Beginner 1: Suitable for those who took complete beginner last term.
Beginner 2: Suitable for those who are close to mastering beginner moves like spins, forearm climb, fan kicks. Working towards inverting.
Intermediate 1: Ability to invert is a requirement. These classes will work on inverted moves including leg hangs and cross-knee releases, as well as more challenging transitions and spins. Also for those with strong leg hangs who have already spent time mastering intermediate moves, but who need a refresher or are not quite ready for the higher moves and transitions.
Advanced 1: Shoulder mounts are a requirement. This class is for those who have a strong extended butterfly/inverted D, and are ready to work on handsprings, ayesha variations, and other advanced moves and transitions.
Off the Pole Conditioning: No experience needed! Work on your flexibilty and learn how to build stength for on the pole moves.

3:45 - 5:15: Off the Pole Conditioning (Guys Campus AR1)
Tuesday
3:15-4:45: Intermediate (At Ultimate Pole)
3-4:30: Beginner 1 (At Waterloo Studio)
6-7:30: Beginner 2 (At Waterloo Studio)
Wednesday
1-2:30: Complete Beginner (At Ultimate Pole)
4-5:30: Advanced 1 (At Ultimate Pole)
4-5:30: Beginner 1 (At Waterloo Studio)
Thursday
2:15-3:45: Beginner 1 (At Waterloo Studio)
4-5:30: Beginner 1 (At Waterloo Studio)
Friday
2:00-6:00: Open Pole (Guys Campus AR1)
Bundle Information

Prices for bundles include 5 classes each (the first bundles will be for 4 classes, but all after that will be 5) ; they are sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Any remaining slots will be made available on a drop-in basis. Unfortunately, we DO NOT refund memberships if you are unable to get your hands on either of the above. Memberships account for admin cost and include socials as well as open-pole sessions ON TOP of discounted pole sessions.
Upon purchasing class bundles, you are automatically signed up for the classes you have purchased; please only attend the classes your bundle is for, as they do not roll-over. Enjoy your class!
