List of Clubs

KCL Lions are the university's cheerleading team. We welcome students of all abilities and genders! Founded in 2005, we have gone from strength to strength, competing at national level each year. In the 2022/23 season across our teams we won 4 regional championship titles at the legacy cheer comp. Our Pom team also won grand champions (highest scoring across all dance divisions)! Across both BCA and ICC we won 3 national championship titles, and 2 nation cups (highest scoring in England). We hope to have an even bigger success this season:)

For the 2023/24 season we plan on having the following teams:

• Recreational Team (Tiara)

Our team of athletes consists of students studying a range of different subjects with a shared passion for teamwork, fitness and performance. Competitive cheerleading consists of 4 elements: stunting, dance, tumbling and jumps. Do you want to keep fit and strong, develop your teamwork skills, and meet some amazing people? Then cheerleading is the sport for you!

You don't need to have any experience to join - we will teach you everything you'll need to know from the basics, and for those of you that have cheered before or have a background in dance or gymnastics, that's great! Many of us have never cheered or done gymnastics before university, and since then we have loved every second and formed some lifelong friendships and fun memories.

Outside of training, we enjoy weekly socials including sports night as well as regular sober socials such as a brunch or mini-golf, and joint socials with other sports teams such as the American Football team. One of the highlights of our social calendar is our tour which is always a blast during summer! Our most recent tour was in Tenerife.
