The Community Leaders Hub (CL Hub) is the first port of call for student leader enquiries. This area of the KCLSU website holds key pieces of information and regularly accessed documents used by student leaders.
The three types of information stored on the CL Hub can be broken down into three categories: How-To Guide, Forms and Policies.
How-To guides should be saved as its own webpage. This means is does not need to be downloaded to access it, which is easier to access on phones as well as laptops/computers.
When making this guide, please ensure the title starts with How-To (eg. How-To Run an Event). If possible, please include pictures, flowcharts or short videos to help guide the students through the process.
Within the CL Hub, you will see a section called “Community Leaders Documents”. In this section, you can create a new webpage that can be used in multiple sections via the forwarding option. This means you will only need to update the one in this folder, and all other versions of it on the website that are linked from this will automatically update.

Where possible, we recommend that you create a form on Typeform or Microsoft Forms and then link to this in the CL Hub.
If you do need to upload a form (eg. Excel Reimbursement Form or Word Risk Assessment Form) for students to access, you can find the section to upload files here:
Click on “My Account” in the top right-hand corner,
Click on “Organisations”
Navigate to the section called “Community Leaders”.
Click on “Resources”.
Once you are in this section, please Click Here and follow the instructions in the video on how to upload and add your form(s) to your section.
Policies should be uploaded as a PDF in the “Community Leaders” section (please follow the above steps to find this section, including watching the video on how to upload documents).
Please add your name and job title to each How-To webpage, Form or Policy and the date of upload in the “Notes” section when adding these. This will allow us to pass ownership onto your successor, ensuring the CL Hub is kept up-to-date.
When uploading new documents/forms, please do not add a date to the title (eg. Reimbursement Form 2025) as it will break the link wherever it is saved on the website, as the URL will change. Please call it eg. Reimbursement Form and when you update the physical file, add the date to the form itself if needed.
The CL Hub is a site that should be constantly updated. If you notice the same queries coming up, consider creating a guide and signposting students to it. By doing this, it will free up your time and allow students to access KCLSU services all day, every day throughout the year.
