King's Shakespeare Company is here to fulfill all your bard-ly needs, from plotting revenge on your uncle for murdering your father, to faking your own death after being accused of adultery at your wedding. If you enjoy pub trips, quizzes, Q&As, acting workshops, and all things Shakespeare, then this is the society for you!

We offer two main-stage shows per year in the Greenwood Theatre (just by Guy's Campus) which bring in big audiences and offer the opportunity to get involved in a large-scale and high-quality student production. Both main-stages are directed, produced and stage-managed by members of our society and if none of that is your cup of tea, we also have roles available in lighting, sound, set design, costumes etc. (p.s. keep an eye out for some smaller mid-semester productions too!).

Here's a list of our recent main-stage productions (and some photos for your enjoyment!):

  • A Midsummer Night's Dream

  • Romeo and Juliet

  • As You Like It

This year, we want to make Shakespeare as accessible as possible to everyone. For us, this means offering more than just the opportunity to perform and including academic exploration of Shakespeare's work through collaborations with visiting speakers and researchers.

If you have a love for (or even a vague interest in) Shakespeare and his contemporaries, then get involved! Find out about all our shenanigans on Instagram: @kingsshakespeareco or drop us an email at kingsshakespearecompany@gmail.com if you have any questions!
