Welcome to King's Red Cross! We're happy you're showing an interest to join us. The King's Red Cross is currently a small knit community, but we're big hearted and friendly, so feel free to join us during any point of the academic year.
Although we are a newly formed society, our parent organization, the British Red Cross, has been around for nearly two centuries. And you thought ma and pa were old! What this means is that we will, on occasion, get support from the British Red Cross on matters still new to us. For instance, if we'd like to volunteer directly in emergency relief or in refugee support situations, we'll need their help in linking us with those volunteering opportunities.
For now, due to our adolescence, we are not a well funded club. What we do have however is compassion, ideas, and some extra time to help out the destitute living in our community.
So, if you have any of these qualities - compassion, ideas, and time - then please join us for our meetings, and lets help make London a kinder place to live in.
