Russian Speaking Society

Sorry, there are no memberships available to purchase.

At the Russian Speaking Society, we aim to embrace the essence of our countries' cultures and heritage. By bringing together Russian-speaking students, we hope to create a comfortable and safe environment for the social, cultural and recreational activity of our members.

Throughout the year, our society hosts a wide variety of events. Our exceptional speakers, who in the past were Ivan Zhdanov, Nadya Tolokonnikova, Boris Akunin, Evgeny Chichvarkin, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Ekaterina Shulman and many others, inspired our members and provided essential insight into the work they do. Their lectures shed light on potential professional careers, covered a range of different topics of interest and helped to motivate our members. We aim to support our members, with events, such as career workshops and CV building, that in the past have helped our members to improve their applications and secure successful internship placements.

Our society prides itself in collaborating with all other Russian Speaking Societies in London, making it a hub for social networking, meeting like-minded individuals, as well as those with contrasting world views, and ultimately making lifelong friends. The past collaborative events included a Mafia Social, Game Night and various Pub Socials.
