Student Groups to Join

Here at KCLSU we have over 300 student groups and societies for you to join. From sports groups, to the Harry Potter society, to the Bhangra society, there is something for everyone! Groups and societies are a great way to connect with others, build communities or campaign on issues.

Groups and societies are a great way to connect with others, build communities or campaign on issues.

They also allow people to come together with common cultures, faiths, backgrounds and interests, and give students the opportunity to help volunteer in their community or further their academic passions.

Take a look here to find out more and you can also meet many of our groups and societies at the Welcome Fair.

Join the Post Graduate community

There’s loads here at KCLSU to improve your time at King’s as a postgraduate student. All of our student groups and sports clubs are open to postgraduates and you can get involved with all of the volunteering, fundraising and campaigning that KCLSU has to offer!

As a postgraduate, you will also be represented by our Vice President Postgraduate who sits on our team of elected Student Officers.

Join the International student community

Coming to King’s from overseas? Allow KCLSU to be your home away from home; be it through joining a society, student group or sports club or getting involved with campaigns and causes that affect International students.

Also, why not become an active member of our KCLSU International Students’ Liberation Assocation? Our Liberation Associations exist to connect us through events, communications and celebration.

When you enroll you are automatically a member of this network, but by signing up on the website you can receive the latest information direct from our International Students’ community.

Our KCLSU Welcome fair is taking place on the 21st and 22nd of September, at the Barbican Exhibition halls.

Friday 21 September - 11am - 6pm

Saturday 22 September - 10am - 5pm

New and returning students can find out more from one of our 300+ groups and societies, enjoy performances, meet our student officers, and find out about how KCLSU can support you and make your student experience the best it can be.

For an interactive map, list of student groups and news updates, download the Welcome Fair App.

For disabled students if you would like any support in attending our Welcome fair, please email disability@kcl.ac.uk who will be able to liaise with the events team .

There is the opportunity for disabled students including those with a hidden disability, to come before doors on Friday 21 September, so that they can meet student groups and societies and take advantage of great offers, before the main doors are open for general admission.

At the fair there will be a quiet room for attendees to use. If you have any queries on the day there will be lots of KCLSU staff around the venue, who can help.

Disabled access is via the stall holders entrance on Golden Lane. The Barbican also has a useful access guide here.
