Plant-based Universities Campaign Launches

Students launch a new campaign to tackle the climate crisis by getting King's catering to go fully plant-based.

A group of King's students is leading a new campaign to rapidly transition to a completely plant-based menu throughout King's cafes and restaurants. In this article, we talk to the campaign to find out why this campaign matters to students and how you can support it.

Why are King's students campaigning for this?

The plant-based universities campaign is an exciting student-led push in universities all over the UK, and King's is no exception! We are pushing for King's to listen to the climate science and act in accordance with it by transitioning to fully plant-based catering. It is a sure-fire way to show students the university cares about them now and as they leave the university for the wider world. This is an opportunity for King's to become a world-leading institution in how it approaches the climate crisis.

How can students support your campaign?

For this to become a Union Campaign it will need to get support from 50 students via petition. You can sign the petition and join the campaign mailing list to get updates here.
