Forums are KCLSU representation spaces where members can get together to discuss their student experience. The insights gained from these forums will be used by KCLSU to improve our services and the ways we make positive change for students.

KCLSU’s Representation and Campaigns team hosts three termly forums – The Education Collective, KCLSU Conversations and the Liberation Forum – throughout the academic year; each forum has been designed with different student communities in mind.

Our Forums

The Education Collective is a space for all students, but particularly useful if you are an Academic Association member or an Academic Representative.

This forum is a space to work together to improve education at King’s through identifying issues, sharing insight and discussing solutions. The Education Collective also gives students the opportunity to network with others who share a passion for educational change.

Coming Soon

The Liberation Forum is designed for students who self-define as part of one or more underrepresented communities. This is an opportunity for students to come together to share stories and insights on the issues that are currently affecting marginalised groups at King’s.

This is your platform to share, learn and connect with other members in a safe space where your experiences are recognised and appreciated. You will also meet students who work on KCLSU’s Liberation Networks, members who raise awareness, advocate and create positive change for others.

KCLSU Conversations is a platform for all students who have engaged in membership services: from funding to Advice & Wellbeing to KCLSU Students’ Elections. This forum is particularly useful for community leaders, wellbeing leads, sports captains and volunteers to come together to identify issues, share insights and propose improvements to KCLSU’s services.

Questions to keep in mind for this forum:

  • What does and doesn’t work about KCLSU membership services for community leaders?
  • How easy is it to stand for KCLSU Students’ Elections?
  • What obstacles do students face when accessing KCLSU services (e.g., room bookings, borrowing equipment, etc.)?
  • How can KCLSU better support student wellbeing?
