Undergraduate Summer School Students (Session 1) - Thames Boat Party

Please note: This event is for students enrolled on the Undergraduate Summer School only.

PURCHASING TICKETS: When you want to purchase, please login using a guest login (no need to have a student login - this is for full time students only). And, if you are purchasing tickets for multiple events, and the total is more than £150, the transaction won't go through. You just need to split the transaction into two smaller purchases.

Join us for an unforgettable cruise down the River Thames. Our fantastic party boat will depart from Temple Pier and is hosted by Unlocking London and the Summer Programmes team.

All are welcome to join us at the Waterfront Bar from 6.00pm – 7.40pm. The bar will be open, and those of you with food tickets can enjoy a selection of hot and cold buffet items. Just present your email confirmation on entry and you’ll be issued with a stamp.

Those of you that aren’t eating (non-food ticket holders) are still welcome to come along to the bar early and purchase drinks from the bar. However, we advise students to eat something substantial before boarding the boat (as there will only be nuts and crisps on board). There will NOT be food avaliable for order at Waterfront - but there are several cafes / takeaway places along the Strand where you can purcase food.

Everyone will be escorted to the boat by our friendly staff hosts at 7.40pm. The boat departs at 8.00pm sharp. From the decks you will be able to take in some of the most iconic London landmarks including: Whitehall, Waterloo Bridge, MI5, The London Eye, OXO Tower, Tower of London and the beautiful Tower Bridge.

We have an onboard bar where you will be able to purchase beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks. The boat accepts cash and card. Industry leaders for the student clubbing scene in London, Wicked Student Nights, are providing our DJ for the event, so get ready to see some international dance moves.

A great night, and one of the highlights of our social calendar. Come along, let your hair down, and get some epic selfies along the way.

T&C’s

• Latecomers (who miss the boat) will NOT be eligible for a refund. We leave the pier at 8.00pm sharp. If you are coming from other campuses please leave ample time for unexpected public transport delays.
• You NEED to bring the following items with you: email confirmation as proof of purchase (print or mobile) and proof of age identification (passport or driver’s license). You are advised to bring a warm layer of clothing as we are on the boat until 11.00pm and it can get breezy. Please wear appropriate footwear.
• Please make sure that you come to Waterfront between 6.30pm – 7.30pm and check in with Summer Programmes staff to get your wristband. All ticket holders will be on our guest list.
• If you absolutely cannot make it to Waterfront before 7.30pm, please meet us at Temple Pier no later than 7.45pm to board. When staff arrive you will be checked in and issued a wristband. Students without a wristband will not be allowed to board.
• Please look after your valuables at all times. There isn’t a cloakroom or locker on board, so if you bring phones and cameras please keep an eye on them.
• The boat is owned and operated by Capital Pleasure Boats. In the event of an emergency, please follow the instructions of the captain and staff. The boat is equipped with safety procedures and lifejackets
