The Macadam Cup is here!
Initiated in 2004, the Cup sees the King's College London (King's) and Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' School of Medicine (GKT) sport teams go head-to-head in a bid to win the Macadam Cup.
One day, three locations and two teams fighting for our own University Championship. Last year, GKT from Team South took home the trophy - but who will win the prize this year?
What to expect that day?
Macadam Cup happens the last week of March every year. The big day happens on Wednesday 27 March, at Honor Oak Park –and other two locations- from 11am to 5pm. Enjoy a good day out with friends offering more than 12 fixtures in a great outdoor space.
All the fixtures are completely free!
This is a day where all campuses get together and demonstrate which campus deserves the ultimate Cup, and a chance for you to support your teams with pride.
Do you need more reasons to go? Honor Oak park has a bar and pub facilities where you can purchase meals and drinks.
So get your colour ready – yellow or red- plan your journey with your mates and get the best spot to enjoy The Macadam Cup.
How can I get there?
Macadam Cup takes places in three different locations, although 90% of the fixtures happen at Honor Oak Park. See below how to get there:
What is Team North and Team South?
Our healthy rivalry among campuses led to organising a fun sports day, where not only sport clubs can get involved, but any student. If you are a Strand student supporting KCL your cheers are for #TeamNorth, and if you are a GKT by heart or based in Guy’s IoPPN or St Thomas you are a proud #TeamSouth supporter.
Competitions and other activities are planned during these days and we may pay a visit to the different campuses and see how many supporters each team has. Are you #teamready?
