Role Summary: St Joseph’s fundraising team are looking for experienced retail volunteers to help us raise a significant amount from donated items, at our pop up shop and four-yearly community sales.
There are a variety of shifts available, during the week and on Saturdays, and will include helping to display stock, provide excellent customer service and act as an ambassador for St Joseph’s Hospice on the high street and at the hospice.
Key tasks:
Responsible for opening and closing the shop
Responsible for collecting and returning keys, float and takings to the hospice
Leading on a key area at the community sales
Lead and support volunteers on sorting and pricing
Assist other volunteers in helping to achieve income targets
Deal with any queries volunteers may have on the day
Liaise with the rag company who collects the weekly rag bags
Provide excellent customer service to everyone who visits the shop or community sales
Take payments and give change to customers
Assist with merchandising and displays
Assist with keeping the shop and sale areas tidy and clean
Time requirement: 1- 4 days a week Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm. We can be flexible, and offer half day as well as full day shifts.
