What is an NUS National Conference?

NUS (National Union of Students) is a group of student unions in the UK. Being affiliated with NUS means that as a union, we can create policy and campaign on a national level.

NUS Conferences are the lead decision making bodies of the organisation where delegates representing students from across NUS membership review the work over the last year, decide on priorities and policy for the following year and elect the leadership.

Who attends NUS National Conferences?

KCLSU aims to send as many delegates as we are entitled to and these are elected in our Spring Elections. NUS use a 'Fair Representation systemwhich we use to select the delegates attending.

In 2019, KCLSU is entitled to elect 7 delegates, 4 of whom must be women. The KCLSU President is the 8th delegate.
