Thai Society

Who we are

As a Thai society, our first objective is to consolidate all Thai students and those who are interested in the Thai culture and language. Apart from the socials, we also provide students with the opportunity to take part in forming sports teams to compete in the annual Samaggi Games with other Thai societies in the UK. Our biggest event of the year is the Thai Night, where we stage a play (usually in collaboration with other London universities) to perform in London and all members will take part in this event. The society aims to donate all profits to a charity in need of financial help. In 2014, KCL worked together with SOAS Thai society to produce this two-and-a-half hour staged play. We donated 120,000 THB to the Wishing Well Foundation to help children suffering from cancer. The Thai Night performance usually takes place in March, in the last week before Easter break.
