1. Attend the Digital Welcome Fair
Did you know KCLSU has over 400 societies, sports clubs and groups? From Art to Robotics, and Football to Ultimate Frisbee, we’re sure there’s a society for you! Join us at our very first Digital Welcome Fair to find out more about all the things KCLSU societies and groups have to offer, sign up and get involved with like-minded students and make some friends along the way! You can download the app here.
2. Participate in one of our online Welcome events
Why not join our KCLSU officers and students talking about wellbeing tips, studying online, a guide to networks, working at the students’ union and much more. All of the events will be held on MS Teams so you can join from the comfort of your bed.
Check out all the welcome events here.
3. Join a Media Group
In a time when the world is going virtual, now more than ever the SU’s media groups need YOU to join their team and help student voices be heard. At KCLSU, we offer a variety of media groups including journalism, photography, radio, music, TV broadcasting and film making. So why not get stuck in, strengthen the student community voice, and give your CV a boost in the meantime?
4. Get your fitness in with King's Sport
Did you know some of King’s Sport classes are now online? We know first weeks of uni can be stressful, so why not get involved with some HIIT classes and yoga via video call and release some steam and serotonin? Stick the video on in your living room and try it out with your new flat mates, we highly recommend it.
5. Become a Virtual Volunteer
Think you can only do volunteering in person? Think again! Over on our Volunteering Page you can find out how to volunteer remotely with different charities, log your hours, earn recognition for your work, and even set up a volunteering project of your own. All from the comfort of your sofa.
