Explore Black History Month

Explore Black history in a celebration of culture and community through KCLSU, King's and student run events.

October is Black History Month in the UK and here at KCLSU, it’s a time to celebrate our students who are of African and Caribbean heritage. We shine a spotlight on their achievements and contributions to our King’s and KCLSU community.

Join us for a month of student-run and King’s events that explore the culture, history, challenges and journey of Black people in the UK and globally.

The month starts off with a Nyam, Chop, Chill event at Guys on the 4 October, where students can take part in games, a cultural quiz and entertainment – there will be open mic, performances and music. Also to enjoy – tasty African and Caribbean refreshments!
