KCLSU and King’s College London are proud to be hosting a debate on the final day of voter registration as a part of the Guardian’s You Talk, They Listen series. It'll be hosted by Rick Edwards, presenter of BBC Three’s ‘Free Speech’ programme.

Rick Edwards hosts a panel of experts and Guardian writers including Polly Toynbee, Henry Porter and Nick Cohen as we explore the issue of freedom of speech on campus and how the next Government could help.

The debate about freedom of speech will be at 7.30pm on Monday 20 April in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre (K6.23), Strand Campus.

The Government wants to be able to veto and ban those they deem “extremist” from speaking at universities and other publicly funded bodies. How closely should universities work with security services? Is freedom of speech absolute? Have the new terror laws gone too far?

Hear the debate and have your say. We've reserved a  limited number of free tickets, so please register if you'd like one.
