The Head of Governance & Compliance is looking for a full-time Governance Coordinator to support the Governance Team at KCLSU. This is a new role and therefore initially is offered for a 18 month contract, subject to evaluation.

Looking for a charity governance opportunity working in a top UK University community?  If you think you might be interested in developing your governance career by working to support students, KCLSU would love to hear from you.   

The Head of Governance and Compliance at King’s College London Students’ Union is looking for a full-time Governance Coordinator to help develop and implement our governance strategy. As well as overseeing our policy review processes, responsibilities vary from supporting students with exercising freedom of speech to operating our risk escalation and management plans. 

 

KCLSU is a fun, social and flexible work environment which offers opportunities for development as well as great staff benefits.

 

Responsibilities include: supporting all aspects of corporate governance for KCLSU, coordinating the timely review of policies and procedures and assisting with implementation and tracking compliance, as well as work on resolving student complaints.  The role is challenging and varied and needs a confident, self-motivated person with great organisational skills and attention to detail.  The role also includes supervising a part-time student staff member who assists with the External Speaker processes. Experience with policy writing and implementation is desirable.  

Location:  KCLSU is based in Bush House, Strand, London WC2 (near Temple Underground station).  We are currently planning a phased return to our offices between September 2021 and January 2022.  The Governance Coordinator role may be a combination of office and home-based until January 2022 but longer term it is hoped to be fully office based, subject to mutual agreement with the successful applicant.
